The school year of 2010-2011 has started and it looks like it will be a great year. Parker will be a kindergartner in Ms. Laughlin's class at Dallas Park Elementary. Camille will be a second grader in Mrs. Regan's class at Dallas Park. (This is super special because Mrs. Regan was my teacher many many moons ago- and she is awesome!) Madeleine has started her 7th grade year at HFStevens with me. Madi and our neighbor have worked for several weeks to prepare and learn for volleyball try-outs. Madi has worked very hard, she has been running, she has been eating good, and working to do her best. Once school officially started, this girl was up and running and could not be stopped! She leaped out of bed every morning for 6:15 am practice with out a complaint, she knew right away that she had an awesome group of teachers, her clarinet learning was up and flying.... and this girl could not be stopped. Dad was so impressed with her performance this first week, that he got her a cell phone to carry. Madi was placed on the A team for volleyball-- and there have been some wins and some losses-- but the learning process continues and everyday is getting better. The best part of Madi's day has been a choice for school lunches. She usually chooses pizza, but it has been awesome for her to have a choice and awesome for me not to make her a lunch every day! Madi is also taking all pre-AP classes. Hopefully that means a little challenge- and she needs that.
