In September, Camille had a beautiful pink cake from Granny. We were able to share it with our new best buddy Gretchen. I think these two were probably twins in a past life. They are just made to be best buddies forever! Their mother and I have been aquaintences in the past and then the older girls were playing volleyball together- and a new awesome friend was found for each of us.

Madi did get new glasses this year. They are bigger so that she can see better. Do you like?? Actually, it was Nerd Day at school and so she and her friends got dressed up Nerd style. She was the coolest nerd in my eyes!

This is Madi- getting ready to whack that ball. This has been a most awesome season of volleyball. She even got to wear some really cool socks!

This is GiGi and Camille watching Parker's soccer game. We had soccer, volleyball tourney, lunch and Larry went that day to some TCU event, then cake celebration. It was a fun day here and GiGi got to participate in something for everyone! Granny GiGi is so good to come for every person's birthday and take us to lunch, have a special made cake, and bring special presents. We love for her to come visit!

This is one of Parker's first games of the fall season. The Little Rascals were playing in the hottest of weather-- it was unbelievable. Parker is red with white around his eyes from running. NaNa and DaDa have come to watch and poor cold water when needed. This is Parker's first season playing with Crowley. He is a really strong player, but most of his teammates either can't find the ball or don't like running-- especially in the heat.

Wow-- report cards come out today and that means we have already completed 6 weeks of school. This past weekend I traveled to Graham Texas and stayed at the Wildcatter Ranch with a bunch of fun ladies. We played bunco, made jewelry, ate dinner and breakfast, painted pottery, had smores by the fire, and even fed the Longhorns. It was a great time with friends from HFS. While I was gone, Madi headed off with the Girl Scouts for a weekend campout at Stevens Ranch. It was beautiful weather for a weekend outdoors. Parker played a soccer game and Camille was just hanging with the guys. On Monday, Parker had another soccer game. This has been an interesting season. Parker is definitely the strong arm of the team. I think this is a first time season for everyone else. There have been times that I have absolutely laughed until I cried-- it is just so very funny. Coach Wendy just stays strong and keeps encouraging. We met with Ms. Laughlin his kindergarten teacher this week and she said Parker is doing great. We got to see the book he was working on. Letter AAAA aaaa for apple annie and then he had to draw his version of apple annie-- all the way to letter Z. I met with Mrs. Regan to have a conference regarding my sweet Camille. She says that Camille is a "very bright" little girl. She tells me that Camille participates, and finishes her work quickly (sometimes too quickly and makes a little error.) and is a friend to all. Camille likes to do the extra reports when she finishes her work. She is given an encyclopedia to look up facts about a certain object- like the 9 planets, a whale that eats krill, and another fun object. Camille really loves school and being with friends. Madi enjoyed her camping trip. She rested up on Sunday evening and hit it hard again Monday morning. She has really worked hard this season for volleyball. She works out every chance possible, she is running more than ever, and loves being a part of the team. She has several new volleyball shirts and a ton of new "best" friends. Her teachers tell me that she is an awesome kid and has been a great student. Tonight is another volleyball game. Madi loves playing on the A team. We are learning how to play with a team-- even though it is not always easy.--we are still a team. And-- finally-- the fish died this past week. I may have overcleaned the bowl-- which is not usually a problem that I have- but I did use a little clorox to clean it. Oh well- you win some and you lose some. Thankfully - Cujo the dog is going strong!
