Well- last I remember, we were smoothly moving through our summer vacation- having fun and job hunting. We had made the trip to Georgia. (Camille fell and was taken by Augusta with a nasty concussion, but ok.) During that time, Madi did Beach Camp with the youth group at Southcliff and I went to visit Jenni with the new babies, and newer babies on the way. I loved the four days I got to spend with my awesome cousin-- I just love her so much and she is doing a great job raising 2 sets of twins- only 12 months apart. God has blessed her greatly! Anyway, Madi did TCU volleyball camp and Camille did Girl Scout camp with her friend Gretchen. We worked in many other fun things and then decided to make a fast trip to Amarillo and Canyon. So, we loaded up Granny Ginger and headed west. We saw "the Texas" performance in the Canyon, visited the wonderful campus, visited Wonderland the amusement park, and ate at The Big Texan and of course, Ruby Tequila's. Ruby's is known for their sangria swirl margarita things-- that I loved in college. So-- we head to Ruby's to eat and the phone rang. Now I have waited all summer for a call to work-- any call-- but something. So out of the blue--- Crowley calls and says my name has been given for recommendation to be the lead nurse, would I be interested? My thoughts.... bring on the swirls!! Now my head is swirling and we are headed to the Canyon for a great evening. In the back of my mind-- " could I do this, am I crazy, why me, what is going on, ....." The next morning- more calls from more districts came in. I ended up doing a few, but the opportunity for me to be at Crowley would be most awesome. So- I am now employed. This job has been wonderful and I have learned more in 6 months than I have ever learned in my total life. All of the professional training that makes a nurse a professional-- I am using it everyday. Things have been crazy- therefore there has been no blogging-- but I will catch up at some point.
The fall of 2011 included Madi playing volleyball, clarinet, and putting a blond streak in her hair. Her friends called her the Whiz.
Camille is a third grader. She played girls fast pitch ball. She just turned 9 and most of the others were 11 and 12. It was a time of learning-- and she did great!
Parker played coach pitch. Again-- it was all new territory-- but he worked hard and did great. Camille and Parker are both playing Upward Basketball. Camille is with her buddy Gretchen and they are called "the twin towers". Parker-- has some serious skill.
Madi is playing JCJV club volleyball. She practices 3 times a week and tournaments have now started. Everytime she gets on the court- she plays awesome and her skills are incredible! I am so thankful that each child has the opportunity to learn new skills and Madi is mastering her skills. Each of my children have such different skills, but are gifted in their very own ways. Life is so good!
Larry is teaching PPCD at Hargrave this year. This is the area that is truly his gift. Hopefully, new challenges will come for him in the coming years. He loves a good challenge and he likes change.
I am going to stop here. I will try to add a few of our pictures from the past months.
