Tuesday September the 29th.

Well- I want to write about the weekend that was so full of good things. On Friday, when it was time to hit the 7-11 for slurpees, Parker wanted nothing. Camille came quickly to report to me that something was wrong with him! Sure enough- he had a fever and complained of a sore throat. Saturday morning, Camille and dad took him to the dr and he was diagnosed with strep throat. Dad said Parker felt really bad all day Saturday, but Sunday his coloring was much improved. Madi and I went to Granbury early Saturday for a soccer game. She played an awesome game. She was all over the field and goalie second half. We won our 2nd game of the season. Then she and I were off to Stevens Ranch for Girl Scout camping with the troop. We hiked forever, built fires for Hobo stew and banana boats, and played Fear Factor with food. Madi consumed her first sardine and bit of guacamole. Sunday morning we had breakfast by the campfire, hit the canyons for fun, cleaned and then we headed home for another soccer game. Again, she played great in the heat. After that, she and I were completely pooped out and sunburned. We rested up and tried to prepare for Monday. Monday morning- we were up, headed to actually drop off for carpool and the van begin to poop out. So- we have been again traveling by Elantra as a family of 5. NaNa has helped out get us to and from- since dad does some night home visits. Last night, Madi had soccer and scouts. Each camper was given her own painted rock with google eyes (follow-up to the rocks in their beds at camp) and a watermelon slush for playing Fear Factor. It was a great weekend- and Parker is looking better. Tomorrow Parker goes to BSF with Nana and tonight he has soccer practice. And.... Camille lost another tooth. She loves the money that comes with that!! NaNa had picked them both up at school yesterday and they went and picked pears at Memaw's house. I hear they worked REALLY hard to get every pear possible.-- Parker was filthy!

  1. Grace was diagnosed with strep throat last Tuesday. Then she still wasn't well and we went to Carenow on Saturday...positive again for strep! Thankfully after three different antibiotics, she is just fine. I hope Parker is better!
