January of 2012

We kicked off December 31 with a visit from Granny.  She came up and we went to the TCU basketball game.  After the game, Granny kept the kiddos so that Larry and I could go out on a date.  The next morning, our dog Chloe bit Parker and we had to go to the ER for treatment.  Sadly, we had to surrender Chloe to the humane society.  I believe the 5 years that we had Chloe, she wanted to be a good dog.  However, she had a mean streak in her and it was just no longer safe to have her here.  We were sad to see her go, but we know that we took the very best care of Chloe and she brought us much joy!

Then it was time for a little sports.  Camille and Parker both participated in Upward Basketball at First Baptist Crowley.  Camille's buddy Gretchen played with her.  They all did a great job.  The other sport to take over our lives, is volleyball.  Madi played on a club team-- and had an amazing season!  She worked extremely hard, she learned so very much, and matured into this beautiful volleyball player.  I see great things in her future.
