I have to start off by reviewing our crazy busy weekend. On Friday, I had taken the day off and gone with Ms. Valerie for her day surgery and then we returned home where I got to play with the boys, feed them and get them ready for their nap. On Friday evening, our whole family went to the TCU baseball game against the Air Force. TCU won all the game that weekend. It was a great night to be outside. The weather was great, the kids had fun, and TCU played awesome! Larry has an older couple and a single older man that he sits with and converses with. On Saturday morning, Parker and The Little Rascals had a soccer game. Parker scored 5 of the 5 goals. Then we headed to the Dallas Park Carnival. I worked in the 2nd grade hot dog stand and then worked the bounce house obstacle course for Ms. Laughlin's class. It was a really warm and sunny day-- good weather for a successful carnival! That afternoon, mom and I took the girls shopping for a few things. Then Madi had a birthday "dance" party that night for her friend Sara. She had a new shirt and shorts-- and had a great time with friends. Parker and Larry went to see next TCU game and Camille spent the night with mom.
Sunday was a really special day. Sweet Caroline was baptized. All of the Parker clan was able to be there, as well as Gerald and Paula, and our cousin Tyler. Misti's family was also present. It was a wonderful time for family, a special service, and then really good Mexican food at Gloria's. Lee and Polly planned for a special day and we were so thankful to be included! After that full weekend-- I was exhausted!
Then at 3:30 am Monday morning - a huge wind, thunder and rain storm arrived. Chloe the dog does not like the storms. So Larry and I were awake for the next 3 hours-- trying to medicate and calm the crazy dog.
Anyhoo--- we have had 2 full days of school and the kids are having a little down time with the Wii right now. Baby goats are coming in Adamsville and DaDa is ready to care for as many as possible. Hopefully, we can make a little trip down to see the goats very soon!
Gotta run to Sonic for 1/2 price burger night-- because that is how I roll when it is my turn to cook!
